Snow Ski & Snowboarding Weekend
Sundown (Dubuque,Iowa)

Plans are underway for our 6th annual snow ski trip to Sundown Mountain in Dubuque Iowa.
We need at least 5 adults to privide transportation and someone to haul a U-Haul trailer.
There may be a slight increase over last year's costs which are listed below.

Rendezvous: Saturday   7:00 am    Salem Methodist Church
Departure:      7:30 am    Salem Methodist Church
Arrive Camp Little Cloud: Saturday 3:00-4:00 pm    Ski area
Leave Ski area: Monday 12:00 noon    Ski area
Return home: Monday (late afternoon-est) Salem Methodist Church

Skiing Location: Sundown which is just outside Dubuque, Iowa;

Lodging: Scouts will sleep in heated cabin with a fireplace, flush toilets,
hot showers, a grill and kitchen with refrigerator

Meals/Cooking: Meals purchased at fast-food restaurants and the ski area
(Cooking brakfast and/or dinner at the cabin)
Program: Skiing Sat evening (4pm to 10pm), all day Sunday, and one-
half day on Monday for those who wish to ski.
(This may include the possibility of some night skiing)
Slopes are open 9:00am to 9:00pm (Sat until 10pm)
Itinerary:
It is about a seven hour drive to Dubuque, Iowa and
the probable route would be north through Springfield, Ill
(using mostly interstate roadways) to Dubuque, Iowa.
Cost per Scout:
Troop fee.................................................... $76 (paid in advance)
(includes lodging, transportation,& food in cabin, etc.)
Meals enroute & at ski area.......................... $25 (bring with you)
